Recommendation

That a 38m “No Stopping” zone be installed on the eastern side of Hodge Street, Hurstville, at the intersection of The Avenue, as shown on the plan TC1901 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC024-19       Westbrook Street, Beverly Hills - Proposed "No Stopping" zone extension

Recommendation

That the existing “No Stopping” zone on the western side of Westbrook Street, Beverly Hills near the intersection with Kingsway be extended 10m north, as shown on the plan TC1898 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC025-19       Mayor Street, Kogarah Bay - Proposed "No Stopping" zone

Recommendation

That a 16m “No Stopping” zone and an 18m “No Stopping” zone be installed on the western and eastern side of Mayor Street, Kogarah Bay respectively, as shown on the plan TC1899 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC026-19       Richards Avenue, Peakhurst - Proposed "No Parking" zone

Recommendation

(a)     That an 87m “No Parking” zone be installed on the northern side of Richards Avenue, Peakhurst, as shown on the plan TC1900 attached to the report.

(b)     That a 15m “No Stopping” zone be installed on the northern side of Richards Avenue at the intersection of Jacques Avenue and a 10m “No Stopping” zone be installed on Jacques Avenue.

(c)     That a 15m “No Stopping” zone be installed on the southern side of Richards Avenue at the intersection of Jacques Avenue and a 10m “No Stopping” zone be installed on Jacques Avenue.

 

 

TAC027-19       Arcadia Street, Penshurst - Proposed "Works Zone"

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     That a 30m “Works Zone, 7am-5pm, Mon-Sat” be installed on the western side of Arcadia Street, Penshurst adjacent to Penshurst Public School, for a period of 52 weeks commencing on 27 March 2019.

(b)     That the parking be reviewed in this location at the completion of the “Works Zone” period.

 

 

TAC028-19       Stanley Street, Kogarah - Proposed 'Works Zone' adjacent to No's 2 - 10

Recommendation

(a)     That 42m of the existing “2P, 6am – 6pm, Mon – Fri, Permit Holders Excepted, Area 1” zone on the southern side of Stanley Street, Kogarah be converted to a “Works Zone, 7am – 5pm, Mon – Sat”, for a period of 52 weeks commencing in May 2019, as shown on plan TC1903 attached to the report.

(b)     That the existing “2P, 6am – 6pm, Mon – Fri, Permit Holders Excepted, Area 1be reviewed at the completion of the “Works Zone”.

 

 

TAC029-19       Dwyer Lane, Blakehurst - Proposed 'No Parking' Zone

Recommendation

(a)     That a 91m “No Parking” zone be installed on the northern side of Dwyer Lane, Blakehurst

(b)     That a statutory 10m “No Stopping” zone be installed at the intersection of Dwyer Lane and Betts Avenue, Blakehurst as shown on plan TC1891 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC030-19       Hamilton Street, Allawah - Proposed 'No Parking' Zone

Recommendation

(a)     That a 23m ‘No Parking’ zone be installed on the western side of Hamilton Street, Allawah.

(b)     That a statutory 10m ‘No Stopping’ zone be installed at the intersection of Barsbys Avenue and Hamilton Street, as shown on plan TC1897 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC031-19       Morris Avenue, Kingsgrove - Proposed 'No Stopping' Zone

Recommendation

That a 15m ‘No Stopping’ zone be installed on the southern and northern side of Morris Avenue, west of Kingsgrove Road, as shown on plan TC1895 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC032-19       Chemical CleanOut Traffic Control Plans for Carlton and Mortdale Depot

(Report by Senior Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     THAT the Traffic Control Plans TCP 2536 and TCP 2537 prepared for the Chemical CleanOut weekends at the Mortdale Depot and Carlton Depot be approved to be implemented on all the Chemical CleanOut  weekends planned for 2019.

(b)     THAT “No Right Turn” signs be installed on Depot Road, Mortdale during the Chemical CleanOut weekends in Mortdale Depot

 

(c)     THAT the “No Stopping” restriction along the northern side of Roberts Avenue be extended to allow unhindered flow of traffic between Isaac Street and Depot Road, Mortdale during Chemical CleanOut weekends at Mortdale Depot.

 

(d)     THAT “No Stopping” restriction be installed along the southern side of Planthurst Road, west of Bellevue Parade up to the southern gate entrance to Carlton Depot, during Chemical CleanOut weekends at Carlton Depot. 

 

(e)     THAT Council’s Waste Services section notifies all affected residents of the road closures prior to the scheduled Chemical CleanOut weekends at either of Council’s Depots.

 

 

TAC033-19       Park Road and The Avenue Hurstville - Danebank Autumn Fair 2019

Recommendation

THAT the request to change the on-street parking along Park Road and The Avenue, Hurstville adjoining Danebank School to 90 degree angle parking on Saturday, 11 May 2019 to facilitate  Danebank School’s Autumn Fair be approved.

 

 

TAC034-19       Littleton Street, Riverwood - Club Rivers ANZAC Day Service 2019

Recommendation

THAT Club Rivers request to close Littleton Street, Riverwood between Belmore Road and Erskine Street, Riverwood from 4.00am to 12.00pm for ANZAC day Dawn Service on the 25th of April 2019 be approved.

 

 

TAC035-19       Georges River Local Government Area - ANZAC Marches

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That approval be granted to temporarily close streets on the Oatley RSL Sub-Branch ANZAC march route from 1:30pm on Sunday 14 April 2019, in accordance with the details outlined in paragraph 4 of the report and as shown on plan L566 attached to the report.

(b)     That approval be granted to temporarily close streets on the South Hurstville RSL Sub-Branch ANZAC march route from 5:30am on Thursday 25 April 2019, in accordance with the details outlined in paragraph 5 of the report and as shown on plan L567 attached to the report.

(c)     That approval be granted to temporarily close streets on the Kogarah RSL Sub-Branch ANZAC march route from 7:15am on Thursday 25 April 2019, in accordance with the details outlined in paragraph 6 of the report and as shown on plan L568 attached to the report.

(d)     That the Sub-Branches be advised of Council’s decision.

 

 

TAC036-19       Bellevue Parade and Waterview Street, Carlton - Proposed Temporary Road Closure for Event

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That approval be granted to close a section of Bellevue Parade and Waterview Street, Carlton, between 7am and 5pm on Saturday 6 April 2019, for the “Kids Show and Shine” event, as shown on the plans attached to the report.

(b)     That the applicant be advised of Council’s decision.

(c)     The applicant shall provide a Risk Assessment for Hostile Vehicle Mitigation in accordance with NSW Police requirements by an appropriately qualified person holding a Masters 2A Security License.

(d)     The applicant shall submit to Council a Traffic Management Plan (TMP) written by an appropriately qualified person prior to the closures occurring.

 

 

TAC037-19       Netstrata Jubilee Stadium NRL Traffic Management Plan 2019

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That approval be granted for roads near Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah to be closed for the National Rugby League (NRL) matches during the 2019 season.

(b)     That Traffic Logistics submit a Traffic Management Plan and associated Traffic Control Plans for the road closures to the NSW Police and Council for approval prior to the first game occurring.

(c)     That Traffic Logistics apply for the RMS Road Occupancy Licence for each NRL game at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium in the 2019 season.

(d)     That Traffic Logistics be advised of Council’s decision.

(e)     The applicant shall provide a Risk Assessment for Hostile Vehicle Mitigation in accordance with NSW Police requirements by an appropriately qualified person holding a Masters 2A Security License prior to the closures occurring.

 

 

TAC038-19       Kogarah CBD - Temporary Road Closures for Orthodox Easter

(Report by Coordinator Traffic & Transport)

Recommendation

(a)     That approval be granted to close Belgrave Street, Kogarah, from Post Office Lane to Kensington Street, between 6pm and 11pm on Friday 26 April 2019 and from 10pm Saturday 27 April 2019 to 1:30am Sunday 28 April 2019 for the Orthodox Easter celebrations, as shown on plan TC1122 attached to the report.

(b)     That approval be granted to temporarily close streets on the Orthodox Easter procession route at 8:30pm on Friday 26 April 2019, in accordance with the details outlined in paragraph 5 of this report, and as shown on the Procession Route Plan attached to the report.

(c)     That the residents and businesses in Belgrave Street be advised of the closures.

(d)     A Risk Assessment for Hostile Vehicle Mitigation in accordance with NSW Police requirements shall be carried out by an appropriately qualified person holding a Masters 2A Security License prior to the closures occurring.

 

 

TAC039-19       Buchanan Street and Hampton Court Road, Carlton - Proposed Intersection Treatments

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     That a 10m BB Centreline be installed on Buchanan Street, Carlton, at the intersection of Railway Parade, as shown on the plan TC1904 (page 1) attached to the report.

(b)     That a 10m BB Centreline, 15m “Give Way” line and associated signage be installed on Buchanan Street, Carlton, at the intersection of Hampton Court Road, as shown on the plan TC1904 (page 2) attached to the report.

(c)     That a 10m BB Centreline, 16m “Give Way” line and associated signage be installed on Hampton Court Road, Carlton, at the intersection of English Street, as shown on the plan TC1904 (page 3) attached to the report.

 

 

 

 

 

 

TAC040-19       Connells Point Road, Connells Point - Proposed Linemarking

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     That the existing S1 (separation) line on Connells Point Road, Connells Point be extended 180m from the intersection of Coora Place to Terry Street as shown on the plan TC1761, attached to the report.

(b)     That the existing E1 (edgeline) on the eastern side of Connells Point Road be extended by 354m towards Terry Street.

(c)     That a 184m E1 (edgeline) be installed on the western side of Connells Point Road, between Queens Road and Coora Place.

(d)     That a 104m E1 (edgeline) be installed on the western side of Connells Point Road, between Riversdale Avenue and Terry Street.

(e)     That further investigations, including traffic counts be conducted following the installation of the linemarking on Connells Point Road, with a report to be presented to a future Traffic Advisory Committee.

 

 

TAC041-19       Stuart Street, Blakehurst - Proposed Timed Restrictions in Council Carpark

(Report by Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

That 5 unrestricted car parking spaces in the Council carpark in Stuart Street, Blakehurst be converted to ‘3P, 7.30am – 9.00pm, Mon – Fri, 8.00am – 4.00pm, Sat’, as shown on plan TC1896 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC042-19       Cambridge Street, Penshurst - Proposed 'Do Not Queue Across Intersection' Signage

Recommendation

That a ‘Do Not Queue Across Intersection’ sign be installed on the north eastern side of Cambridge Street, Penshurst at the entrance to the Hurstville Aquatic Centre Carpark, as shown on plan TC1902 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC043-19       Neville Street, Oatley - Proposed Timed Parking

Recommendation

(a)     That an 11m “1/4P, 8am – 9.30am, 2.30pm – 6pm, School Days” zone be installed on the southern side of Neville Street, west of Oatley Avenue, as shown on plan U6145 attached to the report.

(b)     That Oatley Public School and Oatley Out Of School Hours (OOSH) Care be advised of Council’s decision.

 

 

 

 

TAC044-19       Mulga Road, Oatley - Proposed Timed Parking Zone

Recommendation

That the existing 7m “Loading Zone” on the southern side of Mulga Road, east of Woronora Parade, be converted to a “1P, 8.30am – 6pm Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 12.30pm Sat” zone, as shown on plan TC1884 attached to the report.

 

 

TAC045-19       Humphreys Lane, Hurstville - Relocation of pedestrian crossing for proposed mixed use development.

(Report by Senior Traffic Engineer)

Recommendation

(a)     THAT the relocation of the pedestrian crossing in Humphreys Lane, Hurstville be approved as per the attached plans for Project 180123, Drawing number C4.20-D

(b)     THAT all the associated cost with the relocation of the pedestrian crossing be borne by the developer.
